The OU Club of Dallas has several committees which support club activities. These activities allow club members to get involved in the planning of club events, and to interact regularly with other Sooners. OU/TX Weekend

This committee is now planning the events surrounding the 2007 Annual OU vs. TX Football Game Weekend. These events include the Thursday Red River Shootout, Thursday night Happy Hour, Friday Night BEAT TEXAS Dance, Friday Night Beat Texas Party, hotel lodging , and game-day transportation.

Scholarship & Academic Recruiting

Each year the Scholarship Committee interviews high school seniors from the greater Dallas/North Texas area to select the recipients of our annual OU Club of Dallas Scholarships. We also assist with high school recruiting during two weeks in September. Both of these are excellent opportunities to interact with students who are just as excited about attending OU as you were!

Membership

This committee is responsible for for maintaining the membership list, for sending notices to members whose membership is about to expire, and for interacting with the Sooner Club for cross-membership questions.

Radio Advertising

The Advertising Committee is primarily concerned with finding sponsors wishing to advertise during our broadcasts of Sooner Football games. Members also help record radio spots to recognize individual contributors who support our radio broadcasts. Know someone who could contribute? If so, contact Trae Anderson. Publications

This committee publishes our club announcements; these include the numerous flyers associated with Club events, our web site, and provide announcement of events content to the Dallas Morning News as well as various OU media offices.

History

This committee is responsible for being the repository of all of our historical records; what OU did in any given year, and what your club did in any given year. As such, this committee should have records as to club meetings, scholarship awards, university support, and athletic support. Much of this is readily available from our web site.
