is a non-profit organization of more than 1000 families in the Dallas area who keep ties to the University, and support the Sooners in both academics and athletics. Formed in 1948, we are one of the oldest clubs, we are the largest Alumni/support organization outside of the Norman/OKC area, and we provide more 'give back' than any other club/organization. Examples include the arches on the South Oval, the Telephone Booth in front of the Student Union, The Weekend which we've sponsored for more than 50 years, The Weekend Player of the Game Award, Academic and Pride Scholarships.

Leo is the father of current Board member Pam Baker. Pam is one of our Membership Chairs, and is THE WEEKEND Chair.
Leo was part of the committee that first suggested that the OU Club initiate a scholarship; as a result his committee developed an athletic scholarship. Leo was part of the athletic recruiting arm of the club - he recruited football players in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area for Bud Wilkinson. In his own words "I really enjoyed working for and with Bud; he was my favorite coach!" |
