About Our Scholarships
Academic Scholarships are one-year or two-year awards, in the amount of $2,000 per awarded year ($1,000 per semester). Each semester's award consists of $500 which can only be applied to out-of-state tuition (known as a tuition fee waiver), and $500 cash.
Book Award Scholarships, in the amount of $250 cash, may be awarded to students whose out of state tuition is waived in conjunction with other scholarship programs (i.e. National Merit, National Award, Institutional Nominee, etc.) at the discretion of the scholarship committee.
Entering Junior / Senior Applicants
Applicants must be returning major-declared OU students (Norman or Health Science Center Campus) from the greater Dallas/North Texas area (preference to those from Dallas, Denton, Collin, Rockwall, Kaufman or Ellis Counties). Preference will be given to students classified by OU as Juniors or Seniors at the beginning of the Fall 2008 semester. Our selection process is based on the following information: campus and community involvement, GPA, letter of recommendation, personal statement, and financial need.

Entering Freshman Applicants
Applicants must be graduating high school seniors from the greater Dallas/North Texas area (preference to those from Dallas, Denton, Collin, Rockwall, Kaufman or Ellis Counties). If the applicant has college credits they must still be classified as entering freshmen by OU. Our selection process is based on the following information: class standing, ACT/SAT scores, GPA, school activities, non-school activities, recommendations, personal statement, essay, and financial need.
